If you are in one of the first three categories of academic standings:
1. Academic Alert
3. Continued Probation
you will need to participate in the Student Plan for Academic REcovery (SPARE) Program.
(For academic standing definitions - please see links at bottom of this page)
Student Plan for Academic REcovery (SPARE) Program
The SPARE program is designed and required for all students who find themselves in any academic status other than good standing. As a result, you will have an advising required hold on your student account. You must complete the online SPARE workshop prior to meeting with an advisor in order to receive an advising code. The online SPARE Workshop will be available September 22, 2014.
Participation in SPARE program includes:
- Completing the online SPARE workshop through eCampus.
- Meeting with an academic advisor.
- Signing an academic contract.
- Completing a Self-Assessment.
Please note: Students in the SPARE program who have recently completed the online SPARE Workshop may be required to complete an additional/extended workshop for subsequent semesters.
This workshop will be available throughout the Spring 2015 Registration period.
Please note: It is important for all SPARE participants to meet with their academic advisors. Failure to meet the conditions of this program will hinder course registration.
You will need a pen or pencil, paper, and a basic calculator to complete the SPARE workshop.
