The Office of Student Affairs at UNT Dallas hosted its first honor cord ceremony December 9, 2016 in Founders Hall 138. Students were eligible to receive honor cords if they were a student veteran, a participating member of a registred student organizations, completed more than 100 hours of community engagement hours, or maintained a 3.5 or higher grade point average.

The ceremony will become a campus tradition for the university going forward, and will include additional student awards in the spring.
