Good things come in threes.
1. Get in the Spirit!
Athletics is sometimes called “the front yard of a university.” It’s like a block party with all your friends. Nothing brings a university family together quite like getting to root, root, root for the home team. So whether you are a student, faculty, staff, parent or family member, friend or supporter, consider yourself a Trailblazer. Welcome to the Team!
2. Catch a Class Act!
When you watch one of our student-athletes compete, remember that the first word in that description is student. In fact, at many universities the student-athletes on average have GPAs higher than the rest of the student body. That should come as no surprise. After all, each student-athlete attends mandatory study halls…..must pass twelve hours each semester to remain eligible…..and knows that his or her coach is monitoring their academic performance on a weekly bass. Now that’s smart. Welcome to Class!
3. Welcome, Neighbor!
UNT Dallas is the only public, four-year university in the City of Dallas. We’re located in a part of the city that has not, until now, had a truly local college team to support. Today UNT Dallas is that school and the Trailblazers are that team. To everyone in the neighborhood, there’s only one thing we say: Welcome to the Family!
We compete as members of the NAIA, read more here.
