The Office of College Readiness believes that it is never too early to start preparing for life after high school. As a university that is truly dedicated to serving the community, the Office of College Readiness at UNT Dallas provides opportunities and programs to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to achieve post-secondary succes.

Our outreach efforts are in alignment with the mission of UNT Dallas, the Texas College and Career Readiness Standards and the College Board's Eight Components of College and Career Readiness.

Campus Visits

 Students as young as kindergarten can experience what life is like as a UNT Dallas Jaguar! All campus visits include an age/grade -level appropriate tour and college preparation activities. Our younger visitors may even receive a visit from Jagger, our mascot! Click here to schedule a tour for your class or youth group.

Presentations and Workshops

The Office of College Readiness offers presentations and workshops to students, parents, families, educators and community groups on various college preparation and access topics including, but not limited to: the college application process, preparing for college in middle school, financial aid and scholarships and creating a college-going culture in the classroom.

The Texas Pre-freshman Engineering Program (TexPREP) is a challenging six-week summer program desidned to motivate and prepare middle and high school students for success in advanced studies leading to careers in science, technology, engineering and math. ( S.T.E.M.)
