Exam Management
Respondus Campus-Wide
Respondus Campus-Wide enables you to create and manage exams to be printed to paper or published directly to Canvas for online delivery. Respondus also seamlessly integrates with publisher content for easy and accessible integration into Canvas.

Academic Integrity
Respondus LockDown Browser & Respondus Monitor
Respondus LockDown Browser creates a testing environment within Canvas that is locked down so students are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications.
Respondus Monitor adds another layer of security when used in tandem with Respondus LockDown Browser to allow instructors or their designee to asynchronously visually monitor the student's testing environment for the duration of the exam. Exam session recordings can susequently be viewed by faculty, who are notfied of any suspicious behavior and can review the exam recording as needed.

Turnitin
Turnitin helps students learn to cite work properly and aids faculty in detecting possible incidents of plagiarism on written assignments. It is also a powerful teaching tool when introducing students to the concepts of academic integrity and originality of work.

Collaborative Video Conferencing
ZOOM
ZOOM is one of several video-conference systems that are supported within the UNT System. ZOOM integrates with Canvas and allows for synchronous audio/video conferences. Recordings can be automatically archived on to a video hosting platform such as Panopto.

BigBlueButton
BigBlueButton is the pre-loaded video-conference system inside of Canvas. It allows synchronous and asynchronous audio/video conferences. Recordings are only stored for two-weeks in BigBlueButton and cannot be saved or transferred.

Panopto
Panopto is the official video capture, editing, and hosting system of the University of North Texas at Dallas. While similar to a system like YouTube, Panopto is geared for education and seamlessly integrates with Canvas.

Collaboration Tools
Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is the official productivity suite of the University of North Texas at Dallas. Much of the collaborative functionality enjoyed by users of the Google Apps Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides) is now fully-supported in Microsoft Office 365.

VoiceThread
VoiceThread is a collaborative multi-media discussion board. Much like a traditional discussion board, a thread is started by an authorized user and then subscribers respond. However, responses can be in the form of a live video that is captured at submission, live audio that is captured at submission, text, or an uploaded media file. This gives maximum avenues for student response based on technology they have available.

Flipgrid
Flipgrid is a collaborative video-based discussion board. Much like a traditional discussion board, a thread is started by an authorized user and then subscribers respond. However, unlike a traditional discussion board, all submissions are completed as short videos under 5 minutes in length recorded directly inside Flipgrid.
