Online Teaching Foundations
Whether you are a new or experienced instructor, teaching online demands a distinct set of knowledge and skills not required in traditional courses. This self-paced, online course is designed to help you acquire an understanding of online pedagogy and better prepare you for online teaching. Many of these strategies can also be applied to face-to-face instruction, thereby strengthening an instructor’s overall teaching toolkit. While this workshop is self-paced, participants can expect taking approximately 8 to 10 hours to complete the course. Participants will be able to download and/or print a certificate of completion after successfully completing this workshop.
By the end of the orientation, you will be able to:
- Explain the basic requirements and structure of online courses.
- Summarize research-based rules and tips for development and delivery of online courses that improve the student experience.
- Develop course-level student learning outcomes/objectives
THIS IS AN OPTION PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY AND IS NOT REQUIRED.
