In this 45-minute session, participants will see how to schedule and run a ZOOM videoconference call both inside the Canvas/ZOOM integration and outside of Canvas. Participants will be presented with various basics of call security and in-call student troubleshooting.
Brown-Bag Bites - Recording & Sharing ZOOM Videoconference
In this 30-minute session, participants will see how to record a ZOOM videoconference call that is automatically transferred to Panopto. Participants will see how to manage the recorded call so I can be shared with a single course section in Canvas, multiple sections, unrelated courses, or different individuals either inside or outside UNT Dallas.
Hands-On with Digital Media (Self-Paced Immersive Experience)
Have you ever wondered what various assignments look like on the student-side of Canvas?
DLIT has created a self-paced hands-on experience of various digital media tools to allow instructors to experience the student point-of-view of those tools. Participants can work in any or all of the tools as desired.
The experience offers the opportunity to experience the following tools:
- Canvas Assignments
- Office 365
- Respondus LockDown Browser & Monitor
- VoiceThread (identical to the Hands-On with VoiceThread experience)

Remote Teaching: Going Beyond the Videoconference
In this 60-minute session, participants will see how ZOOM can be used in remote instruction beyond its standard videoconferencing capabilities. Through this immersive training, participants will work with virtual polls, breakout rooms, and both small-group and full-group presentations. In addition, participants will see the integration with Canvas, which helps with managing call sessions and the integration with Panopto, which helps support asynchronous learning.
Remote Offsite Video Proctored Exams with Respondus
In this 30-minute session, participants will learn how to use Respondus LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor to produce safe and secured remote video proctored exams. It seamlessly overlays your existing Canvas quizzes/exams. Respondus allows students to take their Canvas quizzes/exams at home or another off-site location and instructors to proctor asynchronously from their home or another off-site location as well.
Administering Dual-Audience Exams with Respondus LockDown Browser and Instructor Live Proctoring
In this 30-minute session, participants will learn how to use Respondus LockDown Browser and Instructor Live Proctoring to produce safe and secured exams for classes with students participating in the lecture hall and from various remote locations at the same time. Both tools seamlessly overlay your existing Canvas quizzes/exams. From the lecture hall podium computer, the instructor can monitor both on-campus students in the lecture hall while simultaneously monitoring their off-campus students.
