A Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree with a concentration in Urban Agriculture and Renewable Resources from the University of North Texas at Dallas provides students with an affordable degree plan which paves the way for a meaningful career in agriculture. Students pursuing the Urban Agriculture and Renewable Resources concentration gain valuable knowledge in the areas of critical thinking skills, community engagement and sustainability. What is a BAAS degree in Urban Agriculture and Renewable Resources from UNT Dallas? 

Urban Agriculture and Renewable Resources is a new degree plan, which has a unique curriculum that gives students hands-on experiences in agriculture. The UNT Dallas degree plan is the only one in Dallas-Fort Wort that focuses on agriculture in an urban environment. The Urban Agriculture and Renewable Resources course work prepares students for careers that have a direct positive impact on peoples’ everyday lives. A Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree allows students to easily transfer credits from community college, which makes this an affordable pathway to pursue a bachelor’s degree at UNT Dallas.
