Melawn Dineen, a graduate student in Public Leadership, is offering free lawn services to anyone who can use a helping hand during the COVID-19 pandemic. A Marine Corps veteran and a highly involved student at UNT Dallas, Dineen seeks to aid faculty, staff members, UNT Dallas police officers, and many others.

“I’m looking for nurses, doctors, firefighters, police officers, elderly, disabled individuals and single-parent households who just need a break and could save the cash from paying a lawn service,” Dineen said. “I want to assist the community where I can, and do it at a safe distance. I don't mind sweating a little to do it.”

Dineen is booking lawns right now at 760-212-1264 or mpdineen.md@gmail.com, and asks to share her service with local heroes and those in need.

“As a veteran who struggles with anxiety and PTSD, this service really helps me stay busy while serving others, so it’s a win all around,” she said.
