United Way and School of Human Services Partner to Help Local Non-Profits
  • Dean Constance Lacy and United Way Present at Conference- The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas came to us to help prepare non profits in southern Dallas to qualify in higher numbers for United Way funding. Dean Lacy heads our school of Human Services, and this joint effort has been helping many nearby non profits attract United Way attention and money. United Way and UNTD presented at the Coalition of Urban Universities (CUMU) conference in Denver on Oct. 9.
  • DART National Night Out-UNT Dallas participated in DART's National Night Out October 3, 2017. University staff and students enjoyed opportunities to share about the educational opportunities available on campus.
  • Arbor Day November 9- UNT Dallas is applying for Tree Campus USA designation. This follows our tree census conducted last year by the state’s leading arborist, Texas Trees Foundation. The system facilities staff has also been involved. As part of all this, we will conduct an Arbor Day celebration on Novembe 9, 2017 that will include students, staff, faculty and the community.
  • Billboards/Advertising-The UNT Dallas marketing and communications team have designed a new billboard that is posted at the south exit of I-35 at Camp Wisdom.
