D CEO, the business title of D Magazine Partners, recently revealed the 500 leaders featured in the 2020 edition of the Dallas 500, which includes UNT Dallas President Bob Mong as one of the most powerful business leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth.

In describing Mong's inclusion on the list, D CEO magazine wrote:

“I want to thank D CEO magazine for including UNT Dallas in its Dallas 500 edition. It is a great honor to see our hard work being recognized,” President Mong said. “UNT Dallas is all about providing a pathway to socioeconomic mobility for its graduates, most of whom are first-generation college students from modest economic backgrounds. This is a vision that we take very seriously, a vision that drives us every day, and it is at the heart of who we are as a university.”

Mong joined UNT Chancellor Lesa Roe and UNT President Neal Smatresk in the Education and Healthcare section of the Dallas 500.

"Making the Dallas 500 is no easy feat in a market as large and vibrant as North Texas," said D CEO Editor Christine Perez. "Those featured in our 2020 edition are the best of the best; they play an integral role in driving our local economy."

Under Mong's leadership, UNT Dallas has experienced exceptional enrollment growth, eclipsing more than 4,000 students for the first time this fall. UNT Dallas also boasts the most affordable tuition in Dallas-Fort Worth, and ranks No. 1 in Texas for lowest student loan debt upon graduation, according to Lend.edu.
