At UNT Dallas, diversity is one of our core values. Our student body is 43 percent Hispanic, 35 percent African American, 17 percent Caucasian, and 5 percent other nationalities. Our faculty and staff echo that diversity, and celebrate it in the classroom.

Our diversity and vision stem from our commitment to the communities we serve, especially those within the Dallas Independent School District where 80 percent of our first-time freshmen attended school. We were proud to see our partner in education recently featured in The New York Times for its efforts to increase diversity in its schools.

Dallas ISD is proving that education is the great equalizer. Working together, we can continue to use education to empower students, transform lives, and strengthen communities.
