The University of North Texas at Dallas Emerging Teachers Institute, in its partnership with Raise Your Hand Texas, is awarding full scholarships for aspiring bilingual teachers, and the deadline to apply is Dec. 1. It features unique benefits and support for those who aspire to teach.

The scholarship also includes ongoing training and development opportunities, mentorship from expert public-school educators, and participation in a statewide aspiring teachers network facilitated by the Raise Your Hand Texas Foundation.

This one-year scholarship, the Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers, includes tuition and fees and is renewable for a second year. Preference will be given to community college students who will receive their Associate's degree on or before May 2018, or early college high school seniors who will also receive their Associate's degree on or before May 2018. 

The Emerging Teachers Institute will also consider students entering UNT Dallas from high school as freshmen. To access the scholarship application, please take a moment to complete this interest form.
