The Honorable Royal Furgeson, the inaugural dean of the UNT Dallas College of Law, was named 2020 honoree for the Dallas Bar Foundation (DBF) Fellows Justinian Award.
This DBF annual recognition is reserved for an oustanding member of the legal community who has consistently personified professional excellence and is held in the highest esteem by his or her peers. Judge Furgeson exemplifies each of the required categories: law practice, the judiciary and academia.
