The University of North Texas at Dallas is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Corliss as Interim Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communication. Corliss, director of communication for the UNT System, will begin his duties May 1, 2017 and continue serving in his System role. 

Paul Corliss currently contributes to the University of North Texas System’s position as a key public influencer in the North Texas region. Corliss leads UNTS communications under Chancellor Lee Jackson and oversees the UNT System's external media relations, brand presentation, website and social media. He also works closely with campus teams on special projects related to marketing, public relations, and media.

Corliss joined the UNT System after spending 20 years in professional sports, most recently as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the NBA’s alumni association, Director of Community Affairs & Business Public Relations for the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and Director of Communications for NASCAR’s Phoenix International Raceway. Through his own sports marketing company, Corliss has represented hundreds of celebrity athletes in marketing deals. Corliss holds a master's degree in organizational leadership and administration from Concordia University Wisconsin and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Texas Christian University.
