The department of Sociology & Psychology, along with Career Services, brought industry professionals and students together for an all-day career fair Friday, April 14, 2017. UNT Dallas students, faculty, and community leaders represented the over 80 attendees.

Employment professionals from 11 organizations, such as Frito-Lay, United Health Group, and City Year, trained and connected with students and faculty. Along with panel discussions and field related job interview opportunities, students participated in LinkedIn, resume and interviewing workshops. Attendees also engaged in a speed networking session with local organizations. These efforts offer UNT Dallas students access to key internships and employment positions in the fields of sociology and psychology.

Dr. Priya Eimerbrink, a UNT Dallas lecturer of psychology, spearheaded the event. “Networking and professional development are key to staying competitive in the job market,” said Dr. Eimerbrink. “We are proud to bring these types of opportunities to our students. It’s exciting to showcase the quality of our majors to companies and organizations in the DFW area”
