The UNT Dallas main campus will begin observing summer hours Monday, May 15, 2017. The summer session will begin Monday, May 22, 2017.

Business Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Summer Holidays:

  • Monday, May 29, 2017: No Classes, Memorial Day
  • Tuesday July 4, 2017: No Classes, Independence Day

In addition to revised business hours, UNT Dallas employees also have the opportunity to work a flexible 40-hour work week with supervisor approval. From June 1-August 25, UNT Dallas faculty and staff have the option to work four 10-hour days each week with one weekday off– usually Friday – at the discretion of the departmental supervisor. The supervisor may adjust the flexible hours as needed, including discontinuing flexible hours.

  • Full-time employees must work 40 hours per week;
  • Service levels must be maintained or improved;
  • Costs to UNT Dallas will not increase;
  • Each office or department must be covered during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
  • Flexible workweek schedules must not diminish the ability of UNT Dallas to assign responsibility and accountability to individual employees for the provision of services and performance of their duties;
  • Requests for a compressed workweek schedule need to be made in writing. The decision of the supervisor is final;
  • Employees must work/report eight-hour days during the week of the July 4 holiday.

If you would like to participate in the flexible summer work hours program, please email Gary.Finney@untdallas.edu to obtain the proper form, and forward it to your supervisor.  The form should be forwarded to Human Resources, Building 1, Room 356, after you have supervisory approval.
