UNT Dallas faculty and staff can give back through SECC events on campus

Take a SECCond and Give Back at SECC Campaign Events

The State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) is winding down, but there is still plenty of time to get involved and give back!

What is SECC?

SECC is the annual fundraising effort that gives state employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for tens of thousands in the North Texas region and throughout the state.

With the 24th annual campaign underway, many have asked how they can support Hurricane recovery efforts through the SECC.  Employees can search for SECC charities that are helping in this area by logging on and typing the words “Hurricane relief” in the search field: Click here to view 2017 SECC Charities. This is just one of many charitable causes we can support through the SECC campaign.

Overseen by the State Policy Committee, the SECC receives no state appropriations and is the only authorized state-wide charitable campaign for employees.  The Texas SECC is one of the largest state employee campaigns in the nation – more than $8.45 million was donated by generous employees in 2015.  The campaign is officially underway now and runs through October 31.

Organizations on the SECC recipient list include charities that provide support for health and social services for adults and children, educational programs for military veterans, and environmental activities throughout North Texas, the state and nation.

You can learn more about SECC by going to secctexas.org.
