Cutting the ribbon for Hart Amphitheater

The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) hosted a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Hart Amphitheater on October 14. The Amphitheater is named in honor of Linda and Mitch Hart who generously gave time, energy, and resources to help make the amphitheater possible.

State and local officials in attendance included La Juana Barton, on behalf of Texas Senator Royce West; Ernest Clark, on behalf of Texas State Representative Carl Sherman; Claude Spivey, on behalf of Texas State Representative Yvonne Davis; City of Dallas Council Member Gay Willis; and Dallas City Council Member Tennell Atkins.

Festivities included live musical performances and guests were invited to enjoy refreshments following the ceremony.

The Hart Amphitheater and campus creek come together at the heart of the UNT Dallas campus, creating a beautiful open space for students, employees, and the community. The Hart Amphitheater will serve as a space for small gatherings, outdoor classes, and cultural performances.
