The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) and the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) continue to partner and offer support for families in need. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to create extremely difficult health and economic challenges throughout Texas. Many UNT Dallas neighboring communities have been hard-hit by illness and unemployment and still need support.

The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) has been selected, by State Senator Royce West, to manage the Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Leadership Program. The program transitioned from the Office of Senator West to UNT Dallas in December. The application window for the 2021 Class of the Conrad Program is open Dec. 7, 2020 – Jan. 4, 2021.

Texas opened early voting on Tuesday, October 13.  Although this early voting was extended to accommodate turnout in light of the special circumstances, Governor Abbott refused to expand who was allowed to vote by mail.  More recently, he limited the number of boxes for voters to deliver mail-in ball to one per county.

For the past few weeks, the university has conducted student surveys, polled employees and followed the progression of COVID-19 cases throughout Dallas county. Based on this information, the university will continue to operate in a safety-first mode and will offer Spring 2021 courses in a virtual learning format.

University of North Texas at Dallas, the fastest-growing public university in the state, has once again set a new standard for enrollment, eclipsing the 4,000-student mark for the first time.

Official enrollment for Fall 2019 is 4,059, a year-to-year increase that hit our goal of 8% annual growth.
