others, to explore diversity, to gain support and to development into leaders.

 Elizabeth Galvan-RA

I am Elizabeth Galvan and I am a Junior pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management. I am Texas
born and raised and am extremely proud of my Latin roots. That being one of the many reasons I
fell in love with UNT Dallas. We are such a diverse student body and welcome all students from
different walks of life. Another being the amazing relationships I have been able to form with
faculty and staff. Every person here genuinely wants to see you succeed and will help you in any
way they can. I am excited to be a Resident Assistant because this gives me an opportunity to help
students make this campus their home, just like it is for me. I want to help foster what will be the
culture of UNT Dallas from the ground up. I am ready for the new and exciting experiences this year
will bring. I want all our future residents to know that I am here for them and will do my absolute best
to make living on campus memorable.

 Jillian Hannie- RA

My name is Jillian Hannie and I am in my senior year hear at UNT Dallas. I love the atmosphere here
and I enjoy the diversity. UNT Dallas has made learning fun because the faculty and staff help you to
realize the best you.  I feel it is essential to be active in whatever it is that interests you, and make a
positive impact while doing so. I plan to graduate with my Bachelors in Applied  Arts and Science in
2018. I usually enjoy anything fun and adventurous. Another thing I feel very blessed to say, is that I
will be the first to graduate with a Bachelors in my family. In my spare time I enjoy doing many things;
working out, singing, filming, shopping and thinking...yes thinking! For this school year I am taking on
a new role of being a RA and I am very excited to see what fun and challenges that comes along with
it. One thing I want people to know is that I am a very happy person at heart and I love people.

 Andy Carranza- RA

I am Andy Carranza. I'm pursing an IT degree. I like football with a passion, I like anime and I am
Hispanic although I do not look it. Some things I love about UNT Dallas are the friendly smiles and
all the cool people on campus. UNT Dallas has the atmosphere of a family and that is why I enjoy
waking up everyday to go to school. As a RA, I plan to learn how to be way more open with all
students, so feel free to talk to me about anything. I enjoy listening to others. Also, with the RA
position, I look forward to the new experience. We will be the first RAs so I am very excited to
see how we do and how we leave behind a legacy. Another fun fact about me is that I am always
happy and smiling!

 Wayne McKinnis, Jr.- RA

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I moved to Texas in 2015 to pursue a bachelor’s in
general business from UNT Dallas. My favorite things to do are; play basketball, post funny snaps,
and hang out with friends. This school is so great because of the loving culture in the community.
he staff are kind and welcoming and the students are incredibly friendly and generous. I feel
completely comfortable and at home while I’m on campus and I am very excited to be one of the
first resident assistants in UNT Dallas history.  I’m excited to be in this position because I love
interacting with people and I hope to be a great help to students who are adjusting to a college
atmosphere. Also, the residents and I will have the chance to set traditions that could be passed
down for years to come.
