SB212 Reporting Requirements

Policy on Reporting

Any UNT Dallas employee witnessing or receiving information on the follwing incidents must report them promptly to the University Title IX Coordinator.

  • Sexual Harassment
  • Sexual Assault
  • Dating Violence
  • Stalking

Mandated Report to Title IX Coordinator Must Include:

  • All Information Concerning Incident Known to the Reporting Employee

  • Report Must Include Whether Alleged Victim Expressed a Desire for Confidentiality

Severe Penalties for Non-Compliance

Employees who fail to report an incident may be charged with a Class A Misdemeanor (punishable by up to one year in jail, a fine of up to $4,000, or both jail time and a fine). UNT Dallas must terminate employees who do not report an incident.
