Greater Texas Foundation UNTD Blazer Scholarship

The Greater Texas Foundation (GTF) UNTD Blazer Scholars Program is designed to assist graduates of early college high school programs in attaining a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas at Dallas. The GTF UNTD Blazer Scholars Program is funded by the Greater Texas Foundation, a non-profit foundation located in Bryan, Texas.

You could be eligible to receive scholarship support to complete a bachelor's degree at UNTD

The scholarship is available for eligible graduates of Texas Early College High Schools who complete their associate degree.

Application Eligibility

  • You must apply in the same year as you graduate from a Texas ECHS
  • You must have completed an Associate Degree from a Texas ECHS

Scholarship Requirements

  • Complete the Online Application
  • Submit two letters of recommendation
    • One from an ECHS university faculty member
    • One from a teacher or other educator from your local ISD
  • Complete an Associate Degree from an ECHS with a GPA of 2.75+
  • Submit a narrative essay identifying why you want to participate in the GTF Scholars program and discussing your goals for completing the respective degree

Awards Information

The GTF UNTD Blazer Scholars Program provides a scholarship to eligible students for up to $4,000 for a maximum of three years. The scholarship is applied to the recipient's financial aid package in six installments (by semester).
