UNT Dallas is an awesome school. It’s a place helping me bridge the gap between my career goals and the college degree I need to get there.

It’s a family here. Everyone you meet cares about your success. My professors are great, and as a member of Student Government, I get to know lots of other students and have a say about what happens on campus. Outside of class, intramural soccer gives me a chance to step away from school for a bit, relax, enjoy something I really like to do, and make friends at the same time. My older brother goes here, too, and helps keep me motivated to do better through his own serious focus on school.

The student vets in the Veterans Success Center also treat me like family. Even though I’m one of the younger guys, the other veterans and the VSC director are always willing to help me out. Between my brother and the other veterans, they keep me on track. One day I hope to earn a bachelor’s degree and become a Marine Corps Officer, Aviation Supply Specialist. Thanks to the support from my campus family, I know it’s possible.
