This 80-hour course is specifically designed to address issues that front-line supervisors may encounter in all stages of their careers. The 2-week program includes but is not limited to the following topics: critical incident stress identification, an assessment from A Deeper Way to identify leadership potential and growth, training on nutrition and fitness, mental health, practical instruction on leadership, career development, leadership transitions, procedural justice, current topics in police leadership, conflict resolutions, and stress solutions and mental flexibility training from UTD's Center for Brain Health. Upon completion of the course, students are eligible for 80 hours of TCOLE credit. *The program meets TCOLE's 3737 requirements.

This course is designed for newly promoted police lieutenants or lieutenants seeking to enhance their leadership development. This one-week, 40-hour, course emphasizes foundational leadership considerations, including: communication; motivation; planning and decision-making; political management and public testimony; legal issues; a Use of Force Case Study presented by a recognized subject matter expert, future trends in police organizations; policing technology; building trust; policing a diverse society; evidence-based and intelligence-led policing and ethics.

This advanced leadership course is designed for upper command-level police leaders. The course, which was designed by a board of police chiefs from across the state, requires an application for attendance. Course materials focus heavily on skills needed for success at the top tier of police organizations. Modules include a practical focus on community policing programs; advanced topics in servant leadership; advanced communication with the public, the media, city councils, and political stakeholders; Constitutional law; employment law and human resource practices; crisis management; public value; procedural justice; and accountability in leadership. The course requires a problem-focused course deliverable and presentation, as well as selected readings.

This course is for patrol officers, senior corporals, and detectives and requires an application for admission. The two-week course (80 hrs.) is intended for those who wish to develop their leadership skills as informal leaders or as they seek eventual promotion to supervisory/executive ranks. The course includes an emphasis on followership; communication; conflict resolution; personal health and wellness; career development; 21st Century Policing; procedural justice; and the future of policing.
