Janice F. Moore, PhD., CFLE currently serves as Lecturer at the University of North Texas Dallas. In this role she teaches undergraduate classes in Child Development and Family Studies.

Dr. Moore’s research dissertation titled “Caregiving: An Exploration of African American Male Caregiver Roles in Texas,” qualitatively looked at how African American male caregivers identified their role as caregivers.

Dr. Moore is involved in several professional and community projects. They include the National Council on Family Relations, Texas Council on Family Relations, American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, North Texas Business Section American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Texas Affiliate, St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church Mental Health Task Force, and Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas.

Professional interests include caregiving and caregiver roles, intergenerational activities, community volunteering, mentoring and gerontology.
