Biography

Dr. Aaron Bartula is an Associate Professor for the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology at the University of North Texas at Dallas in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He received his doctorate in Criminology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2012. His areas of focus are media’s influence on delinquency and young adult crime and campus safety policy, with a particular emphasis on quantitative methodology. He has published and presented research in peer-reviewed journals and at national and international academic conferences and is an active member in a number of professional and community safety organizations. He is passionate about student life and experiential learning through community engagement. Dr. Bartula has worked for UNT Dallas since 2013.
