Richard Chandler

Dr. Chandler's research focus is primarily in Noncommutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry.  In particular, his focuses on algebras known as Quadratic Quantum P^3s, which are considered to be the noncommutative analogue of the polynomial ring on four variables.  In addition, he also researches the role of dynamic visualizations in multivariable calculus and linear algebra and the effects on group-orientated, inquiry-based activities in undergraduate classrooms.

In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Chandler is active in service at UNT Dallas.  He serves on several strategic planning committees and steering committees; he is the Chair of the Organizing Committee for the Undergraduate Student Research Symposium, chairs the Core Curriculum Committee and serves at the Secretary of the Faculty Senate.
