Heekyeong Park, Ph.D. in the Department of Psychology received her doctorate from the University of Southern California (Brain & Cognition) and was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Park’s research program infuses cognitive neuroscience with translational neuroscience using neuroimaging modalities such as fMRI. She employs interdisciplinary research methods from behavioral, psychopharmacological, and neuroscientific traditions when studying mechanisms of human memory and related cognitive functions. Her research in translational neuroscience investigates cognitive processing in psychopathological populations including individuals with mood disorders. Dr. Park teaches courses in neuroscience and psychology at UNT Dallas.
