Convention & Event Services Dept.Tourism and Hospitality) Intern
Tourism and Hospitality Internship Program-The City of Dallas Convention and Event Services (CES) department is currently seeking four (4) exceptional college students to join the first Tourism and Hospitality Internship Program cohort in Summer 2024. Who would be working as a part-time employee performing various administrative, clerical, or secretarial duties developing working knowledge of municipal government procedures for professional growth or to meet the internship requirements of a school or University. This real world ten-week experience will provide five rotations with exposure to four of Dallas’ premier tourism and hospitality partners. Each student will be assigned a mentor to support personal growth and career exploration.
Salary Range: $18.50 - $19.75

Behavioral Health Intern Graduate Students
Attention UNT Dallas Graduate Students! Children’s Health Hospital has an intern opportunity for you! Interns would have the opportunity to work with children and adolescents virtually through Children’s Health clinic-based behavioral health program while also providing general and advanced case management services to families. Students will also have access to specialty trainings and presentations at Children’s Health during their placement. Students will have the opportunity to shadow multiple clinicians within different areas of the hospital throughout their placement. This position specializes in helping families adjust to acute and ongoing stressors by providing bio-psycho-social-spiritual support for children and families in pediatric primary care practices across DFW. These services include clinical assessment and screening, treatment planning, short-term counseling, and strategic interventions with the child, family, and caregivers. These services primarily occur via tele-medicine and at times can occur in person.

Feed the Streetz Outreach is an organization dedicated to ultimately being youth advocates for homelessness prevention by first addressing food insecurity through meal distribution projects. The Building Leaders For Tomorrow Internship Program provides a learning opportunity for currently enrolled undergraduate students at an accredited college/university in the United States. Interns become actively involved in FTS community outreach schedules, logistical operations, research & development efforts, marketing campaigns, and/or administrative positions. Attention UNT Dallas students! U-Nique Purpose, Inc. is looking for volunteers who are interested in working in the following areas:
Case Management- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients’ strengths, needs, and goals. Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with clients to address their identified needs and goals. Coordinate and monitor services provided by multiple agencies and professionals to ensure continuity of care. Identify and connect clients with community resources, including housing assistance, healthcare services, job training programs, educational opportunities, and legal aid. Advocate on behalf of clients to access necessary resources, benefits, and services.
Counseling and Support- Provide emotional support to individuals and families facing challenges such as mental illness, substance abuse, domestic violence, homeless, or poverty. Facilitate support groups and workshops to enhance clients’ coping skills, interpersonal relationships, and self-esteem.
Advocacy -Advocate for social justice and systemic change to address issues of inequality,
discrimination, and social injustice affecting clients and communities. Work to influence policies and practices at local, state, and national levels to promote equity, access to services, and the rights of marginalized populations.
Grant Writing - Collaborate with program staff, and stakeholders to develop grant proposals that articulate the organization’s goals, objectives, and outcomes. Identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission, programs, and funding needs. Conduct thorough research on grant-making organizations, government agencies, and other funding source.

Female Survivors of Violence Conference 2024 Volunteers
Attention UNT Dallas Students! The Trauma Support Services is having the 2024 Female Survivors of Violence conference where they will focus on the survivor's path from trauma through grief to healing. The conference will last two days and highlight the impact of violence against women and how it continues to be a major issue in the state of Texas. The sessions offered cover topics in trauma, grief, and healing for these women, their families, and the greater community.
Volunteer Information
- The conference offers CE's and the opportunities include room monitor, runners and general conference assistance.
- Date: Monday, July 29th and Tuesday, July 30th
- Time: Between 7 am and 5 pm each day with an orientation and virtual training session beforehand.

Community Basket Mobile Farmers Market
Community Basket Mobile Farmers Market, a fresh produce donation space on wheels based in southern Dallas and hosted by the SERCH Institute at UNT Dallas, is seeking UNT Dallas student volunteers to help bag and handout fresh produce parcels to the community. Volunteers must be able to lift over 40 lbs of produce and should remember to bring water to stay hydrated. Spanish fluency is also a bonus!
