Behavioral Health Internship Opportunity with Children's Health
This placement is for counseling students in their master’s level counseling program, looking for a Fall and Spring internship site.
This will be a primarily virtual/remote internship placement for students with operational hours being Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. We have clinicians who provide virtual/in-person case management, therapy, and community outreach connection. Interns will have the opportunity to shadow clinicians in these areas, while taking on a small therapy caseload for themselves during their internship placement. Interns would have the opportunity to work with children and adolescents virtually through our school based tele-behavioral health program while also providing general and advanced case management services to families. Students will also have access to specialty trainings and presentations at Children’s Health during their placement. Feed the Streetz Outreach is an organization dedicated to ultimately being youth advocates for homelessness prevention by first addressing food insecurity through meal distribution projects. The Building Leaders For Tomorrow Internship Program provides a learning opportunity for currently enrolled undergraduate students at an accredited college/university in the United States. Girls Empowerment Network
Girl Connect is Girls Empowerment Network’s weekly recurring school-based program. Each semester, Girls Empowerment Network staff, interns, and volunteers work with girls to increase their self-efficacy, resiliency, and positive connection to peers and role models. With support from the Girls Empowerment Network program staff, interns, volunteers, and peers, Girl Connect equips girls in grades 3-12 with the skills they need to navigate girlhood. Box of Dreams Volunteer - TEXAS YES
Each year TEXAS YES selects Title 1 elementary schools in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Carrollton Farmers Branch and supplies every student with basic school supplies (folders, filler paper, a glue stick, crayons, pencil colors, a tissue box, a spiral notebook, an eraser, a ruler, pens, and pencils). By providing each student with their own school supply kit, they hope the act serves as a reminder that each student is important to our community and the importance of being prepared to learn and grow. They are looking for volunteers interested in working with Spanish-speaking middle schoolers. that need tutoring and mentorship. Community Basket Mobile Farmers Market
Community Basket Mobile Farmers Market, a fresh produce donation space on wheels based in southern Dallas and hosted by the SERCH Institute at UNT Dallas, is seeking UNT Dallas student volunteers to help bag and handout fresh produce parcels to the community. Volunteers must be able to lift over 40 lbs of produce and should remember to bring water to stay hydrated. Spanish fluency is also a bonus!
