Donna & Michael Williams Distinguished Leadership Endowment ScholarshipDonna and Michael Williams Distinguished Leadership Endowment

The Donna and Michael Williams Distinguished Leadership Endowment is a fund dedicated to providing annual scholarships for UNT Dallas students. To be eligible for consideration, applicants for this scholarship must be full-time (12 hours for undergraduate students; 9 hours for graduate students) incoming freshmen, transfer students, graduate students, or previous recipients of the award. Preference will be given to first-generation students. Please review the application for full details.

 

Lyman & Eloise Owen Memorial Endowed ScholarshipLyman and Eloise Owen Memorial Endowed Scholarship

UNT Dallas undergraduate and graduate students who are graduating in May 2023 or later are invited to apply for the Lyman and Eloise Owen Memorial Endowed Scholarship in the amount of $2,000. The scholarship will be awarded to one (1) student for the 2022-23 academic year. Please review the application and recommendation form for full details.

Fran Eichorst Endowed ScholarshipFran Eichorst Endowed Scholarship

Dallas-Fort Worth area high school graduates who are also current DFW residents are invited to apply for the Fran Eichorst Endowed Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. UNT Dallas students who are graduates of a Dallas P-TECH, with additional consideration given to Seagoville P-TECH graduates, are invited to apply for the Gagne Endowed Scholarships in the amount of $1,000. Remarcus L. West Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Remarcus L. West Memorial Endowed Scholarship

A fund to honor of the life of Remarcus L. West, applicants must undergraduates with a 2.25 or better cumulative GPA, have completed at least one semester at UNT Dallas successfully, and meet the continuing academic performance standards of the university at the time of any award. Bank One Texas Legacy Scholarship Bank One Texas Legacy Scholarship

The Bank One Texas Legacy Scholarship dates back to the                        earliest days of UNT Dallas. This endowed fund provides scholarships to first-generation students majoring in a program within the UNT Dallas School of Business. Students applying for this scholarship must have graduated from a Dallas ISD high school or must have transferred into UNTD from Dallas College. Please review the application for full details.

 

School of Education Touch the Future Endowed Scholarship

School of Education Touch the Future Endowed Scholarship

(APPLICATIONS CURRENTLY CLOSED)

Made possible by numerous university faculty, staff, and friends, the School of Education Touch the Future Endowed Scholarship provides need-based scholarships to Interdisciplinary Studies undergraduate School of Education students in good standing at UNT Dallas who are accepted to their Clinical 1 or 2 semesters in pursuit of a Texas educator certification area. These certification areas include EC-6, LOTE EC-12, Grades 4-8 or others as added in the future. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have declared a major in Interdisciplinary Studies in the School of Education (i.e. Teacher Education Program), a cumulative UNT Dallas GPA of 2.75 or higher, and a School of Education GPA of 3.0 or higher in courses taken in the Teacher Education Program. Additionally, applicants must have been accepted to and enrolled in the Clinical Teaching Program (either Clinical I: Methods or Clinical II: Clinical/Student Teaching. Students must also demonstrate eligibility for need-based financial assistance. Please review the application for full details.

This scholarship was given by Professor Raj. J. Seekri and Mrs. Raj K. Seekri to honor the life of Professor Seekri’s father, Ram Lal Seekri, whose life was dedicated to education. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be full-time undergraduate students (12 hours or more), meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards in effect at the time of any award; demonstrate eligibility for need-based financial assistance. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and their involvement in community service. Please review the application for full details.

Gifted by Dr. Howard E. Anderson, Jr. and Mrs. Erica C. Anderson, this scholarship honors Dr. Anderson’s parents, who have championed the pursuit of education through their church and school communities. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be full-time undergraduate students (12 hours or more), majoring in Education, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in their collegiate coursework. Additionally, students must demonstrate eligibility for need-based financial assistance and meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic standards of UNT Dallas in effect at the time of any award. Gary Finney Memorial ScholarshipGary Finney Memorial Scholarship

Named in memory of friend and longtime UNT System / UNT Dallas Director of Human Resources Gary Finney, full-time undergraduate UNTD students are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. A one-time scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded for the Spring 2023 semester. Applicants must be first-generation college students, with a preference to students who have a history of community service or other contributions to the African American community.
