Senior Giving

Philanthropy cord

About Senior Giving

The UNT Dallas Senior Giving initative is an opportunity for new graduates to leave their legacy on campus. A gift to a scholarship fund or school means that you are paving the way for your fellow Trailblazers to succeed - just like others have donated to help enrich the collegiate experience for you. It is important to help others succeed, so your senior gift will make achieving academic goals possible.

Gifts

All gifts of $25 or more will be counted toward the Senior Giving initative. As a token of our appreciation for your generosity, you will receive a philanthropy cord to wear with pride at commencement.

Philanthropy Cord

The philanthropy cord signifies a graduating student's philanthropic commitment helping future Trailblazers achieve their academic dreams.

Contributions made to the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) are tax deductible. UNT Dallas is a qualified organization under section §170(c) the Internal Revenue Code.

No, graduating students are not required to donate. We just encourage you to consider making your first contribution to your alma mater to help future students who are in dire need of scholarship funds. Graduates who donate $25 or more will receive a philanthropy cord to wear at commencement.

All donations will go to the University of North Texas at Dallas. While the Senior Giving initatives encourages graduates to support the UNT Dallas Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship fund, you ultimately have the ability to determine whether your donation supports another scholarship, school, or a campus program.

Graduates can pick up their philanthropy cord in the UNT Dallas Campus Bookstore, at the Cord & Ring Ceremony, or at the Graduate Hooding Ceremony. Pick-up is not available at Commencement, so if other arrangements are needed, please email alumni@untdallas.edu.
