Notetakers

Is receiving a note taker one of your approved accommodations? Visit the Registered Students page.

Volunteer to Help a Fellow TrailBlazer and Build Your Resume!

The Office of Disability Services (ODS) provides note-taking as a mandated support service.

All students who receive notetaker accommodations must attend class, but they may need note takers for various reasons, most often because they cannot use their hands, write slowly, or cannot keep up with the amount of notes in class.

We rely on students in courses to volunteer as notetakers.

If you are interested in helping out a fellow student and having a positive volunteer experience to add to your resume, please consider being a notetaker!  You may earn volunteer hours for your cord for commencement.

This role involves only 3 easy steps:

There are two options:

1. Pick up The "Note-Writer" paper from the Office of Disability Services. Give the yellow copy of notes to the student at the end of each class.

2. Using your own paper, take notes in class. Within 24 hours of class, come to the Office of Disability Services, Student Center:  Office of Disability Services, Suite 1104  to make copies. You will leave the notes in a file to be picked up by the student.

You must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
