Educational Leadership Program Admissions

Who is Eligible?

You are eligible to apply to the principal certification program if you have completed the following:

  1. Earned undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
  2. Application and acceptance to the UNTD Graduate School.
  3. A GPA of 2.8 (on a 4-point scale) or higher on all undergraduate work OR a 3.0 or better in the last 60 hours is required for the posted baccalaureate degree.
  4. You have completed two years of credible teaching.

 

How do I apply?

Step One

Apply to the UNT Dallas Graduate School.

  • If you are seeking a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification: Apply to UNTD Graduate School as a degree seeking student. Complete the graduate degree application at https://www.applytexas.org/
  • If you are seeking Principal Certification Only: Apply to UNTD Graduate School as a non-degree seeking student. Complete the graduate application at https://www.applytexas.org/

Step Two

Submit Program Application:

The Graduate School General Application Form. (Must use Google Chrome browser.)

 

Submit the online application and following admissions documents for the M.Ed. Program.

    • Form – Indicate Master’s and/or Principal or Initial Teacher Certification for the desired program(s).
      • Current Students- Click here to complete the application. 
      • New Students - If you are a new student with the University and do not have a UNTD Student ID login, you will have to set up a Dynamic Forms user account (select Create New Account at login screen).
