Students: Courses will be visible and accessible to students starting at 12:00am (midnight) on the first day of the term. If your courses are not visible, please check your UNT Dallas student e-mail to verify if the instructor has stated when the course will be available. If not, please reach out directly to your instructor.
Faculty: Courses will be visible and accessible to faculty approximately 90-days before the start of a term. If you have been recently assigned a course to teach within 90-days of the start of the term, please note that the request must process through CourseDog, EIS, and then to Canvas. This takes up to 3 days to complete.
Courses using integrated textbook content for assignments (e.g. Pearson, McGrawHill, Cengage, Sage) should have support information for the textbook in the course syllabus. If this information is not provided, reach out directly to your instructor for the support information for your textbook.
Online exams can be secured using Respondus LockDown Browser & Monitor at the discretion of the instructor.
Please download the UNT Dallas Respondus LockDown Browser & Monitor at https://download.respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=336366333. This installer will work on Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks.
To take an exam, open Respondus LockDown Browser and take your exam in that tool. You will NOT use your typical browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari) to take a secured exam.
Student assistance is available during the exam by pressing the "Student Assistance" link in Respondus LockDown Browser.
To set / reset a password for all systems at UNT Dallas, access https://ams.untsystem.edu/ and click "Forgot Password" link to start the password reset process.
Password changes are processed immediately and new passwords should be usable without any delay.
Access https://outlook.office.com and login with your student e-mail address (typically formatted as firstnamelastname@my.untdallas.edu) and UNT Dallas system password. Do NOT login with your EUID, use your e-mail address.
Check your student e-mail daily as this is the official communication channel for UNT Dallas.
