Marshall M Noyes retired from the Fort Worth Fire Department as a Battalion Chief in the Operations Division in 2019, having served as a Recruit Training Instructor, Technical Rescue Instructor, Command Training Instructor, HazMat IC Instructor and High-Rise Operations Coordinator during his 35-year career. Chief Noyes worked at the busiest stations throughout his career. He was an instructor for the regionally-acclaimed Tarrant County College (TCC) Fire Service Training Center from 1990 to 2022 and served as the Coordinator of Special Operations Programs for 11 years.
Chief Noyes began teaching in the Incident Management curriculum at the National Fire Academy in 2020. He has also taught Command and Control courses for TCC throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Chief Noyes published “Managing the Multi-alarm: Delegating Command Tasks” and "Incident Command: Two Brains are Better than One" in Firehouse Magazine and delivered a “Managing the Multi-alarm” class in 2021 & 2022 at Firehouse Expo in Columbus, Ohio with two fellow Chief Officers.
Chief Noyes has been an adjunct professor for the University of North Texas BAAS degree program in Emergency Services Administration since its inception in 2019.
