Freshman Scholarships

Scholarships Available to New Freshmen

Presidential Scholars Program

  • This scholarship requires an application
  • Our most prestigious, merit based freshman scholarship
  • $66,800 over 4 years, while you remain eligible

The following scholarships are all merit based and do not require a scholarship application. If you meet the criteria when you are admitted to the university, you will be automatically considered. 

Effective beginning with incoming freshmen admitted for the Fall 2021 semester, these scholarships will be GPA based and will not require an ACT\SAT score.  An applicant's unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale will be used for merit scholarship decisions.  This is the same GPA that is used during the admissions process.

Excellence Scholarship

  • $5,000 per year for 4 years, while you remain eligible
  • Minimum high school grade point average of 3.75
  • Must enroll in at least 12 semester credit hours each semester
  • Renewable with 3.0 cumulative GPA and 30 semester credit hours per year while meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).  Not stackable with other transfer scholarships.

Blazer Scholarship

  • $4,000 per year for 4 years, while you remain eligible
  • Minimum high school grade point average of 3.6 up to 3.749
  • Must enroll in at least 12 semester credit hours each semester
  • Renewable with 3.0 cumulative GPA and 30 semester credit hours per year while meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).  Not stackable with other transfer scholarships.

Blue and Green Scholarship

  • $3,000 per year for 4 years, while you remain eligible
  • Minimum high school grade point average of 3.4 up to 3.599
  • Must enroll in at least 12 semester credit hours each semester
  • Renewable with 3.0 cumulative GPA and 30 semester credit hours per year while meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).  Not stackable with other transfer scholarships.

Elevate Scholarship

  • $2,000 per year for 4 years, while you remain eligible
  • Minimum high school grade point average of 3.1 up to 3.399
  • Must enroll in at least 12 semester credit hours each semester
  • Renewable with 3.0 cumulative GPA and 30 semester credit hours per year while meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).  Not stackable with other transfer scholarships.

Aspire Scholarship

  • $1,500 per year for 4 years, while you remain eligible
  • Minimum high school grade point average of 2.75 up to 3.099
  • Must enroll in at least 12 semester credit hours each semester
  • Renewable with 2.75 cumulative GPA and 30 semester credit hours per year while meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).  Not stackable with other transfer scholarships.

Spring semester scholarships are not guaranteed.  Scholarships for students starting in the spring semester will be awarded if funding becomes available.
