Expectations and Requirements to Live On Campus

Can a student move off campus during a semester or after the Fall Semester?

Yes. The student must notify a housing staff member by email to cancel their housing contract. A Housing Contract Cancellation Fee may apply up to the remaining contract balance. Refund schedules and deadlines are updated each semester as outlined in the housing contract.

Are students allowed to have animals?

Approved service animals and comfort animals are permitted. Students must register with the Office of Disability Services and receive approval from the Housing Office. Residents may also have small fish.

Can students have a refrigerator in their room?

Yes. Refrigerators may be up to 4 cubic feet and must not exceed 1,000 watts.

Can students have a microwave in their room?

Yes. Microwaves must not exceed 1,000 watts.

Community Amenities

Is medical care available?

A Student Health Clinic is available on campus. Resident Assistants are trained to respond to emergencies and contact emergency medical services.

Are mailboxes available to residents?

Yes. Each resident is assigned a mailbox in the residence hall and may retrieve packages from the front desk. Residents may send outgoing letters but cannot send packages through the residence hall.

Housing Costs and Fees

How does Financial Aid apply to Housing costs?

Students who indicate on the FAFSA that they will live on campus may have their living expenses included when Financial Aid is calculated. Awarded Financial Aid is applied to housing costs in the same manner as tuition. Living on campus may affect a student’s Financial Aid award.
