UNT Dallas is pleased to announce that Tiffany Talamantes has been selected to serve as the university’s first Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations, a new position within the University Advancement division. With a focus on building alumni engagement, this new position will play a vital role in supporting the UNT Dallas mission to empower students, transform lives, and strengthen communities.

In addition to her experience at other higher education institutions, Talamantes has been working at UNT Dallas since 2017 in the area of advising. She will be a familiar face to many UNT Dallas students and alumni, which will be a benefit in her new role.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Tiffany Talamantes to our team,” said Derrick Morgan, UNT Dallas Assistant Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations. “As UNT Dallas continues to grow and flourish, an engaged alumni base is vital to the success of our students and university. Her background and years of service to our students will be a tremendous asset as we strive to enhance relationships throughout our rapidly expanding community of alumni.”

In her new role as Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations, Talamantes will be responsible for engaging the university’s 7,000+ alumni, friends, and other stakeholders through outreach initiatives. She will also work on strengthening campus traditions like Homecoming, Trailblazer Athletics, North Texas Giving Day participation, and numerous other offerings, as well as partnering with groups and individuals across campus to create new programs to enhance connections through alumni career networking, annual gift fundraising, volunteerism, and more.

“I am honored and excited to join the University Advancement team,” said Talamantes. “This role is the embodiment of our university’s mission, vision, and values. I look forward to having the opportunity to develop programs and collaborate with key partners to connect our current students with members of our alumni network and surrounding community.”

Ms. Talamantes begins her new position March 1.
