Pre-Registration Checklist

Review all steps in the Pre-Registration Checklist carefully to avoid delays. This will help confirm your academic standing, plan your courses, and address any holds that may affect your enrollment.

Before you register, make sure you've met the following:

  • You are active for the term
  • You are in good academic standing
  • Any probation/suspension issues are addressed
  • All registration holds are resolved

Common registration holds can include:

  • Advising
  • Financial
  • Health/immunization records
  • Missing transcripts or required documents
  • Other administrative holds

You won't be able to register until holds are cleared.

Plan your courses based on your major and graduation requirements.

  • Review your degree audit to know what's still needed
  • Understand prerequisites, co-requisites, and degree requirements
  • Use academic planning tools to map out your future courses

Outstanding balances, missing payments, or unsatisfied financial aid requirements can block registration.

  • Review your account balance and financial aid status
  • Confirm you are meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) if receiving aid

Contact Financial Aid & Scholarships if you have questions about SAP or aid status.

The earlier you plan, the more options you'll have.

  • Make a list of preferred courses and have alternatives ready in case seats are unavailable
  • Check prerequisites/co-requisites for each course

You can get started by:

  • Logging into your myUNTD student portal
  • Or you can also craft your perfect schedule with the Visual Schedule Builder tool from within your student portal
  • More information and FAQs on the Class Registration page

Once you've cleared holds and completed advising:

  • Enroll in your semester classes. Advisors are here to support you, however, class enrollment is the student's responsibility.

If you have trouble registering, reach out to the Academic Advising Center and/or appropriate office for support.
