Biography

Meijken Westenskow joined the Office of Academic Success and Bar Readiness as a Professor of Practice in 2018. Professor Westenskow graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Development from Brigham Young University and with a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. At Georgetown, Professor Westenskow served as a legal writing teaching fellow and worked in the International Women’s Human Rights Clinic.

Following graduation, Professor Westenskow worked as a clerk for the Board of Veterans Appeals. She also worked as an attorney for Orbitz. In 2009, Professor Westenskow became a staff attorney with Mosaic Family Services, an agency that provides free legal services to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. Professor Westenskow later became director of the program and represented hundreds of clients in family and immigration proceedings.
