Alumni & Friends

ABOUT US

The early efforts to start a College of Law alumni network began informally in 2017 with members of the first graduating classes. Now officially the UNT Dallas College of Law Alumni Association, the organization works closely through its close partnership with the UNT Dallas Alumni Association and UNT Dallas Foundation to fulfill our mission:

To engage all alumni and friends of the UNT Dallas College of Law for life.

KEEP YOUR CONTACT INFO UPDATED

Whether you are a graduate or former College of Law student, a supporter, or a new friend interested in staying engaged through the College of Law Alumni Association, please keep your contact info updated to stay up-to-date.

ALUMNI

Beginning with the Inaugural Class seated in 2014, the law students who chose UNT Dallas College of Law for their legal education have proven to be special individuals. Year after year, our students reflect the law school’s goal of widening access to legal education through creating a student population richly inclusive across age, gender, life experience, race and ethnicity, and socio-economic background. We expect that our alumni will carry their unique law school educational experiences forward and continue to value inclusiveness, service to the community, innovation, and especially, civility and professionalism.

FRIENDS

Before our law school had ANY alumni, we had friends who believed in us. UNT Dallas College of Law acknowledges and is profoundly grateful for the support our students and our institution have received from the community, from the time before our first classes were held, then during our groundbreaking first academic years, and now going forward. There has been, and will continue to be, a very important role for “Friends” – those supporters who share our vision - participating as donors, mentors, volunteers, and advocates, whether graduates of this law school or not.

To all those friends who have come together to support and enhance our effort, and to those new friends we hope to gain over time, we acknowledge that the success of our students and of our mission is inextricably linked to your contribution. Thank you, one and all.

WAYS TO ENGAGE

As a young law school, the willingness of alumni and friends to engage with our students, advocacy programs, Community Lawyering Centers, Law Review, student organizations and other programs creates unique opportunities to make profound, positive impacts at UNT Dallas College of Law. We have new programs and activities each year which can use helpful participation from alumni and friends. Learn more.

GIVING

Charitable gifts are always needed and appreciated for scholarships, bar preparation grants, advocacy programs and traveling competition teams, Law Review, student organizations and discretionary gifts.
