The UNT Dallas Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization under the IRS Internal Revenue Code. The foundation’s federal tax ID number (EIN) is 45-3072303.
The foundation is an “affiliated entity” of UNT Dallas and exists specifically to benefit the university in its efforts to provide students affordable access to higher education. It does this through numerous efforts to raise philanthropic contributions, grants, and other revenue while also working to engage alumni and friends through the UNT Dallas Alumni Association.
The UNT Dallas Foundation and the UNT Dallas Alumni Association have teamed up to inspire all of our audiences – alumni, friends, employees, current students, and others, to become more involved in advancing the university.
The UNT Dallas Alumni Association operates as a departmental unit of the foundation, and works to strengthen relationships among alumni and friends, encouraging them to stay connected with UNT Dallas for life.
The University of North Texas at Dallas is state-assisted rather than state-supported, meaning that there is a gap between funds provided and funds needed to fully support daily operations in service of our students. As state support for higher education both nationally and in Texas, private contributions from alumni and friends are increasingly important for UNT Dallas to fulfill its mission.
