Get Connected with Your Advisor
Academic Advisors serve all current and new UNT Dallas undergraduate students. Advisors
are available by appointment to assist with their ongoing advising needs. Appointments
with your advisor are typically 30 mintues and you can schedule follow-up appointments
as needed. The first two weeks of the semester are typically only on drop-in basis,
so we can meet the needs of all students trying to make adjustments to their schedules.
Why would I meet with an Advisor?
- New Student Registration Appointment: Understanding your Degree Requirements.
- Continuing Student Appointment: Knowing what classes you need to take.
- Non-Registration Apointment: Personal coaching, mentorship, or general check-in.
- Graduation Check: Knowing whether you are on track for graduation.
What types of Appointment are Available?
- In order to best serve students, we offer 1-on-1, individual advising appointments
for our students.
- Self appointment scheduling is available through EAB Navigate.
Who is my Assigned Advisor?
- Login to your EAB Navigate Account
- On the bottom right-hand side you will see Your Successs Team
- Your Assigned Advisors name will be listed
How do I make an Appointment?
- Login to your EAB Navigate Account
- On the right-hand side you will click on a blue button that reads, Get Assistance
- You get to the pick date, time and the length of the appointment.
Required Advising
It is university policy that new or returning students to UNT Dallas will have an
"Advising Required" hold on their account. Students who are on academic alert or probation
will have a "GPA Alert" hold on their account. Any student with an "Advising Required"
or "GPA Alert" or "TSI not complete" hold in his/her student center is required to
make an appointment to meet with an academic or success advisor prior to registration.
This is to advise students on selecting the best possible courses to ensure academic
success. We also answer students' questions in the areas listed above and direct them
to the appropriate departments or staff/faculty members to address their issues.
Appointment Policies
- Advisors are available by appointment from 8am-5pm to assist students with their academic
and career planning needs.
- Appointments are available to be made 48 hours in advance.
- Appointments may be scheduled for 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your admissions status.
However, you may schedule additional appointments as needed.
- If you are more than 10 minutes late to your advising appointment, you may be asked
to reschedule your appointment.
College of Law Students
Law Students may schedule appointments with Kevin Robinowich, Assistant Dean of Student
Affairs, for individualized academic advising and counseling.
