Academic Advisors serve all current and new UNT Dallas undergraduate students. Advisors are available by appointment to assist with their ongoing advising needs. Appointments with your advisor are typically 30 mintues and you can schedule follow-up appointments as needed. The first two weeks of the semester are typically only on drop-in basis, so we can meet the needs of all students trying to make adjustments to their schedules.
It is university policy that new or returning students to UNT Dallas will have an "Advising Required" hold on their account. Students who are on academic alert or probation will have a "GPA Alert" hold on their account. Any student with an "Advising Required" or "GPA Alert" or "TSI not complete" hold in his/her student center is required to make an appointment to meet with an academic or success advisor prior to registration. This is to advise students on selecting the best possible courses to ensure academic success. We also answer students' questions in the areas listed above and direct them to the appropriate departments or staff/faculty members to address their issues.
Law Students may schedule appointments with Kevin Robinowich, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, for individualized academic advising and counseling.
