Administrative Withdrawal

A student who fails to enroll in any courses toward the J.D. degree during a fall or spring semester, without receiving a Leave of Absence, will be administratively withdrawn from the College of Law. A student who has been administratively withdrawn is not considered a student at the College of Law and cannot register for future classes.

Return after Administrative Withdrawal

If a student has been administratively withdrawn and seeks to return, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs may approve the request to return. Factors bearing on whether the request will be granted include the reasons for the failure to enroll, relevant actions taken by the student prior to the failure to enroll (such as seeking, but not receiving, a leave of absence), and the student’s level of academic success before the administrative withdrawal.
