Enduring Human Skills are the durable, transferable capabilities that enable graduates to succeed across careers, industries, and changing technologies. While technical knowledge and tools will continue to evolve, these human capabilities remain essential for effective leadership, collaboration, communication, and lifelong learning.
At UNT Dallas, we are in the process of defining these enduring human skills by leveraging existing frameworks.
As artificial intelligence automates routine tasks, the distinctly human abilities to communicate effectively, collaborate across differences, think critically, demonstrate integrity, and continuously learn become even more valuable. Employers consistently identify these skills among the most important characteristics they seek in college graduates.
