The primary purpose of Central Receiving is to coordinate the function of receiving and delivering merchandise purchased by the University through the purchase order system. All merchandise delivered to Central Receiving is subjected to count and examination to determine if correct quantities have been received as indicated on the purchase order, and to determine if there has been damage in transit.
Property Control's purpose is to track the university’s controlled assets. We achieve this by adhering UNTD tags to the asset. This number along with the asset’s serial/service tag or model number is entered into PeopleSoft under Asset Management. Another controlled assest is space management. The University is required to track and monitor changes in space use, to assist in this process the relocation form is required to initiate a relocation request.
The form can be found here: Relocation Form
