Post Baccalaureate & Graduate Financial Aid

Important Information

  • You will not be eligible for financial aid for undergraduate courses that do not apply to your specific graduate or teacher's certification academic program. You must be enrolled in a minimum of 5 graduate hours per term to receive aid. However, if the undergraduate courses are required for your graduate academic program, you may be eligible for financial aid for these courses. Contact the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships for additional information.
  • As a Post Baccalaureate seeking a second undergraduate degree, you will not be eligible for financial aid for graduate courses. You must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate hours.
  • If you are enrolled in both undergraduate and graduate courses, please contact our office for additional information.
  • Although federal financial aid eligibility may be limited or eliminated, you may be able to pursue alternative sources of funding your education.
  • For questions about your academic program, please contact the Registrar's office or your academic advisor.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

Post Baccalaureate Seeking Second Undergraduate Degree

  • Allowed one consecutive 24 month period of eligibility
  • 24 month period begins the first term admitted whether or not financial aid was applied for or received
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate hours per term to receive aid
  • Eligible for college work-study and state/institutional grants
  • Eligible for Undergraduate Senior level Federal Direct Loan 
  • Undergraduate lifetime loan limits apply

Post Baccalaureate Graduate Preparation (PB Grad Prep)

  • Not eligible for Financial Aid
  • You may be able to pursue alternative sources of funding

Post Baccalaureate Graduate Non-Degree Seeking (PB GD Non-Deg)

  • Not eligible for financial aid
  • You may be able to pursue alternative sources of funding

Post Baccalaureate Degree Seeking Not Admitted to a Degree Program (PB GDES)

  • Allowed only one consecutive 12-month period of eligibility
  • 12-month period begins the first term admitted whether or not financial aid was applied for or received
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 5 graduate hours per term to receive aid
  • Not eligible for college work-study and state/institutional grants
  • Eligible for Graduate Preparatory level Federal Direct Loan 
  • Undergraduate lifetime loan limits apply

Post Baccalaureate Pre-Teacher Certification (PB Pre-Cert)

  • Allowed only one consecutive 12 month period of eligibility
  • 12-month period begins the first term admitted whether or not financial aid was applied for or received
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 5 graduate hours per term to receive aid
  • Not eligible for college work-study and state/institutional grant funding
  • Eligible for Preparatory level Federal Direct Loan 
  • Undergraduate lifetime loan limits apply

Master's Degree

  • Financial aid eligibility up to 150% of the published length of the program measured by the number of years required for the degree.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 5 graduate hours per term to receive aid
  • Eligible for college work-study and state/institutional grants
  • Eligible for Federal Direct Graduate level loans
